Hi ! I think expanding her expressive language skills - that's what she says after she processes info. & Working on reviewing Dolch words & phrases would be beneficial to her . High frequency Dolch words w/ expand her sight vocabulary . Also - the experience stories she writes (journal) now,will also help increase vocab. & lang . Her academics - math & reading are great . Her math skills seem to be at a 1st grade level & moving along nicely . On a 1st grade level she still needs : sums through 12&sub . from 12, geometry & measurement , add.& sub of 2 digit numbers , fractions , sums through 18 & sub from 18 or less . Whew ! It also depends on which math book you're using & are you following the entire 1st grade math curriculum ? We'll talk more tomorrow & I'll make you a copy of the Dolch phrases, & Basic word list , ok? A good morning & see you tomorrow .

Kat had a great day in art. She finished her painting from last week and began a Snoopy drawing . I had my own Snoopy drawing for Kat to model. Smiliar to drawing imitation, I would draw 1 step then K. would draw 1 step. Worked great ! In class , Kat wrote in her journal . She got a little frustrated with this & began to cry a little. She quickly gained composure and continued with no problem. Kat is excellent when standing in line with her class and walking through the halls - she's very quiet and little to no stim. behaviors! Yea!

Overall a good afternoon !

Went to gym 1st thing & played kickball . She did OK. Backin class I had her write in her journal she became somewhat frustrated because she was writing unfamilar words but I persevered & she finished w/out any incidents .

Kat enjoyed her unbirthday party, especially the candy ! :) After, the class had a math test , so I gave her some math worksheets to do. She worked very nicely and quietly . She did 4 worksheets in 10 min. , all 100% ! Wow! Then she read her books so quietly while the kids finished their tests. Not a sound from Kat. She got a big surprise and then continued reading . We also worked on a fun worksheet that Mrs. A. handed out to the whole class. She readed her books more , then wrote in her journal. Great day !

Could you stick the words to talent show song in for Kat in the book. This year flew fast for us . I tried to call J. last week & Iwill try again today.

Hi , the journal is getting much longer. I think she is getting the idea of it and it is helping her remember what she did at school. I will be going on day trips Thursday & Friday . So therapist will bring Kat in. I will keep my mobile phone on sothat you can reachme in case of emergency # 555 - 555 - 5555.

Good Morning ! Mrs . L. is absent today. I'm glad to be w/ Kat again. Since I don't know all the ins and outs of Kat, I let her work independently and some of her pages she didn't seem to understand (She didn't finish much because of movie). The box Kat is bringing home is an end of the year present from Mrs. A. Schedule was changed. We didn't gotomusic. We watched a movie with Mrs. A. class, tookwalk and went back to go home. GreatDay !

PS I saw the talent show presentation. It was great . Kat was try ing to follow . We tried to work on the words but she would need more time . N. is going to bring her to talent show

Good morning ! She's been good all AM . Worked on some w/s & a math coloring paper . Her yearbook was in her desk the whole time ! Some of the children signed it today. A good day ! I noticed she's been sucking on her fingers quite a bit . Danuta - I'd like to come to the Bancroft workshops - once a month over the summer & continue once a month during the school year also . Please let me know when , ok ? I feel this will help me know where she is in her progress -(academic & social.) Thanks!

Katherine had a great afternoon. In art class , she made " God's Eyes". At first she was having some difficulty , then I numbered the sticks and she got it . They look great & she really enjoyed doing it. This may be something she could do in the summer too . She won some markers in art too. Her yearbook is still being signed and will be sent home tomorrow.(After art, Kat participated in a class game. She sat very nicely & got to choose a number . Peers were very helpful. Kat was a little talkative today but being the end of the year , the whole school is !

Hi ! I'llbeintouchw/ you over the summer. Field day was great . She participated & hadlots offun. Monday is 1/2day but she goes home@ 10:30, so she'll go home reg time ( 10:30 ) on the bus . I'll hopefully see you then . Havea good weekend .
